Desert Orchid was one of the greatest steeplechasers the world has ever seen. Foaled in 1980, Desert Orchid was by Grey Mirage out of the mare Flower Child. During his career he won 15 principal races, including The King George VI on four occasions, The Whitbread, The Racing Post Chase, The Irish Grand National and The Cheltenham Gold Cup, collecting prize money in excess of £654,000. "Desert Orchid" is published in a limited edition of only 500, the image measures 330x263mm and signed by both the artist and that great commentator, Peter O'Sullivan. Unframed
