|This personally signed Diego Maradona photo is a part of Icons FIFA World Cup official licensed collection. In the 1986 FIFA World Cup Diego Maradona made history. Argentina were playing England in the Quarter Finals, the game would become synonymous with Maradona as he scored two of the most famous goals of all time. His second was voted Goal of the Century on FIFA.com, but it is his first goal of the game, the Hand of God that is perhaps more renowned due to it's infamous nature. Just six minutes into the first half, England's Steve Hodge miss-kicked a clearance which flew backwards towards his own goal. Diego Maradona instinctively chased it and out jumped Peter Shilton, a keeper no less than 8 inches bigger than the small Argentine, to punch the ball into an empty net. After the game Maradona famously said the goal was scored a little with the head of Maradona and a little with the hand of God.
