Graham Isom's first limited edition to be published as a gouttelette is a tribute to the great horse Rock of Gibraltar, part-owned by the Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson. The colt, trained at Ballydoyle by Irishman Aidan O'Brien, entered the record books in 2002 after winning seven successive Group One races, thus breaking the record of six set by the great Mill Reef in the 1970s. His victory in the Prix du Moulin at Longchamp in September established his place in the equestrian hall of fame and he has now been retired to stud at Coolmore. The award-winning artist Graham Isom is possessed of what has been described by Horse and Hound magazine as "a tremendous ability to paint horses in action". Now established for almost 30 years as one of the best-known and popular painters in the racing world, his commissions have included work for many stables, owners and even for the Officers Mess of the Household Cavalry.
This Limited Edition Gouttelette Canvas has been printed with lightfast inks onto fine archival-quality cotton canvas, coated with acid-free priming for permanent artwork reproduction.
